Imaging USA COVID Guidelines Released

From the very beginning of the COVID pandemic, PPA has been committed to following CDC and local guidelines at its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as at all other public meetings. Many have asked about our guidelines for attendance at Imaging USA. Until now, we’ve been waiting for Prince George’s County, Maryland, to release its updated guidelines. Those guidelines have now been issued and are in effect until January 23, 2022:

“All persons over the age of two will be required to wear a mask in all indoor public venues and businesses in Prince George’s County, even if they are fully vaccinated. This includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, retail stores, entertainment venues, conference centers, and office settings. Some exceptions do apply, such as when an individual is actively eating or drinking or individuals who have a bona fide disability that prevents them from wearing a mask.”

We all live in a world where there is COVID. We know the mask mandate will give many the comfort they need to attend the event – interestingly, registration is pacing among our all-time largest events.  However, we know that others will decide not to attend. As an association representing all photographers, we respect the choices each one will make. Regardless of your choice, we are committed to producing the best event in professional photography – an event where safety is first, following all local and CDC guidelines. We trust in those measures and will not be adding additional measures of our own.

Imaging USA 2022 in National Harbor will be especially geared towards helping professional photographers succeed in our ever-changing world. We look forward to seeing everyone there.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a virtual option for Imaging USA 2022. However, we are excited to see everyone again soon, even if that means 2023 in Nashville, TN. In the meantime, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and prosperous New Year!
