Dance photography is one of my greatest photographic passions but it is not your typical volume sports photography. It is the perfect blend of fine art in a volume workflow. In our business model, about 60% of our income is dance studio photography from April through June. This leaves the rest of the year to devote to high-end portraits of families, children, and seniors. Organization is absolutely essential for volume dance photography. In this brand-new program, we will teach you the technologies and techniques that make it all possible. During Covid, we converted to 100% online sales with custom ordering systems for each school. We will teach you how to work with studio owners, dance teachers, parents, and dancers in a courteous, engaging manner and, hopefully, keep them all happy. We’ll talk about photographing large groups, action shots, and individuals. We have been photographing some of the largest dance studios in Utah for over 30 years. Dance photography can be extremely profitable and rewarding if done well. We will teach you how to avoid the common mistakes and pitfalls if you’re just starting out so you can avoid the nightmares and grow a profitable volume dance photography business.
