Through a blend of lecture, demonstrations, participants will unravel the complexities of creative photography allowing us to capture the colors of the union.
Key Topics Include:
- Historical and Cultural Context: Delve into the historical roots and cultural influences shaping South Asian wedding traditions, from ancient rites to modern interpretations. We will discuss the cultural significance for and variations of events between each religion/culture.
- Equipment: We will discuss a normal to complex setup when it comes to equipment. We will discuss the important lighting, camera, and other equipment gear that will enhance and make the work flow efficient and creative.
- Pre-Wedding Photoshoots: The Money-Maker; as we like to call it. Majority of the client's satisfaction rests on how well we perform during the pre-wedding photoshoots and the creativity we bring to the table. This requires significant planning, diverse skill-set and conceptualization of what the couple is looking for. We will discuss natural light vs. off camera flash to capture the bridal and groom elegance during these photoshoots.
- Capturing the Ceremony: The intricacies of capturing the ceremonies of south asian weddings is an essential part of every wedding and requires significant teamwork and attention to detail. We will showcase different lighting setups to bring the colors to life.
