George Mitchell
George C. Mitchell, Jr. is an award winning, published Food, Beverage, and Editorial Portrait Photographer dedicated to preserving the integrity and standards of professional photography. A native of Inkster, Michigan, George holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Tele-Communications & Film from Eastern Michigan University. George has always looked for ways to help individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 100 companies promote their brands through visually compelling imagery. He enjoys collaborating with other creatives to produce innovative and inspired imagery. As a ProTeam member of the PRO EDU community of photographers, George has collaborated with its members on numerous projects and has had the opportunity to learn directly from the community’s founders. George has a passion for educating others about the foundations and disciplines of professional photography and is committed to sharing his skills with new and seasoned photographers alike. George has delivered invited presentations at national and international conferences such as the Wedding & Portrait Photography International Expo (WPPI) and the ROCK THAT Photography Conference & Trade show. He has guest lectured at the James Pearson Duffy Department of Art & Art History at Wayne State University, the Art Institute of Michigan; and have created and presented workshops for the Multi-Cultural Association of Professional Photographers (MAPP), A Day Of Learning at the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Head Quarters, and a host of the PPA’s affiliate chapters.
