Description

If all you do is personal projects, you’re a starving artist. If all you do is paid client work, you’re starving your art. The balance is everything. This program introduces Permission Granted: The Freedom to Fail, Experiment, and Create with Intention, a hybrid experience that blends creative philosophy with hands-on execution. In the first half, I’ll walk attendees through my Creative R&D framework, a repeatable system for using personal experimentation to shape your portfolio, strengthen your marketing, and build creative confidence in an AI-driven industry. Instead of chasing trends or reacting to algorithms, photographers will learn how to intentionally build work that reflects their voice and direction. In the second half, we move from mindset to mechanics. I’ll demonstrate how to mix continuous light with strobes to create cinematic, dynamic portraits. We’ll explore motion, rear curtain sync, manual flash triggering during long exposures, and real-world applications for client work. This isn’t just inspiration. It’s strategy, technique, and experimentation working together to help photographers take control of their creative future.
