Alvaro Balderas is one of the most recognized portrait photographers in the Spanish-speaking world, known for his artistic approach to portraiture and his deep understanding of light, composition, and visual culture. With more than 25 years of professional experience, Alvaro has trained hundreds of photographers throughout Latin America and the United States, helping them improve not only their technical skills, but also their artistic vision and creative decision-making. Alvaro holds the degrees of Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). He is also a Maestro Técnico from the Sociedad Mexicana de Fotógrafos Profesionales and has served as Captain of Team Mexico for the World Photographic Cup (WPC). As an educator, Alvaro teaches visual culture, composition, lighting, portrait technique, and image evaluation. He has presented conferences and workshops in multiple countries, and his work has been recognized and awarded internationally. The Photographic Craftsman degree, awarded by PPA, recognizes his dedication to photographic education and his contribution to the growth of other photographers.
