Prepare Your Entries for the International Photographic Competition

There’s nothing quite like competition to inspire you to strive even harder in your photography! The best way to challenge yourself and improve your work is by getting involved in PPA Competition, namely, the 2025 International Photographic Competition. Registration for the competition opens July 9, so read on for more information!

The International Photographic Competition (IPC) is an bracket style image competition available to PPA members. Photographers submit images across 16 different image categories for a chance to compete in the bracket style image competition at Imaging USA. This upcoming year, Imaging USA will take place in Dallas, Texas from February 2-4, 2025.

The live competition is exhilarating, with images projected on screens for spectators to see, a live emcee, and a cheering crowd full of photographers and spectators. On the line is $26,000 in cash prizes. Each of the 16 category winners, Diamond Photographers, take home $1,000 each and the Grand Imaging Award (GIA) winner takes home a trophy and a check for $10,000.

In the video below, the 2024 GIA winner, Gary Jones, talks more about the experience of entering the IPC as well as his award-winning image.
