Jeremy Saffer has been a photographer in the music industry for over 20 years providing countless visually stunning album covers, magazine covers, editorial spreads, movie posters, and more being published monthly in various music and entertainment magazines. You can find his work on the cover and in the pages of magazines like Outburn, Metal Hammer, Revolver, Kerrang! and many more. Over the past 20+ years Jeremy has worked with the who's who of the heavy music and horror movie worlds helping curate and mold their visual legacy one click at a time. Be it legendary artists like Alice Cooper, Metallica, Slipknot, My Chemical Romance, Johnny Depp, Robert Englund, newer stars like Motionless In White, Babymetal, Black Veil Brides, Rhea Ripley, Ghost, and the cast of Terrifier. Jeremy is also deeply rooted in the underground metal scene working with hundreds of bands in the thrash, doom, black, death, and power metal worlds. In bringing his photography to life, Jeremy has also been tasked to shoot and direct music videos for bands such as In This Moment, Buckcherry, Angra, and more.
One of Jeremys passions is being able to share his knowledge and help group the photographic community. Jeremy is an educator who does workshops all over the US and beyond, working with various camera stores, photo associations, music festivals, and conventions across the US including ImagingUSA, WPPI, Hunts, Samys, Filmtools, and more doing upwards of between 20-30 workshops a year. Jeremy's workshops focus on lighting, posing, directing, set building, shooting bands for editorial and commercial purposes, While the technical and artistic side of photography is important, Jeremy also has business educational seminars based on the business of photography covering everything from rates, contracts, getting published, networking, marketing, and more.
Between a hectic schedule of commercial and editorial photo shoots, Jeremy is hard at work at his upcoming book of music photography that will cover 20+ years of his music portraiture, as well as a follow up to his critically acclaimed award winning coffee table art book "Daughters of Darkness" published by Rare Bird Books.
Whatever is next to be photographed by him, Jeremy always gets the best out of those in front of his lens, and those in front of his lens always get the best from him.
